BLOGS / BLOGGERS FOR FRONT PAGE: Because it is impossible to keep track of every blog and/or blogger on this site, if you run across someone's blog entry that you feel should be read by others (or maybe it’s your own), please submit it for consideration as a featured blog. Don't worry if it's an older blog. If you feel that it has value, then submit it. Likewise, if you feel that an individual has (or perhaps you have) a running blog with general appeal, let us know and maybe it will become a serial blog! If we can manage to find all the little hidden gems throughout this website and shine little lights on all of them, we will have one dazzling community. We're simply looking for blogs that have great relevance or touch us in some personal way, whatever way that may be. Love, politics, philosophy, relationships, maturing, births, illness, etc., these are all things that have great impact in our lives. Have you ever read a blog that you felt took the words right out of your mouth? Nominate those blogs or bloggers as features!
Nominating is easy. Just use the link below the blog you’d like to nominate, or you can email submit@hipty.com with "BLOG: [featured blog or serial blog]" as the subject line. You may also use the contact us link found at the bottom of the page. Please include your Hipty ID and email address in your correspondence.
We will ALWAYS ask for permission before posting any blog on the front page and if the writer declines, then we will move on.
We will ALWAYS respect the privacy of our members. Privacy and respect is paramount on our minds here at Hipty.com because we fully understand that without those things there can be no trust, and without trust there can be no community. We never lose sight of the fact that your blogs are your words, and that they may not have been intended to be displayed on any website’s front page. We understand and respect this. Hipty.com will never publish your blog or make you a feature without your explicit and prior permission.
NEWS AND REVIEWS: If you are interested in writing entertainment news or reviews (for films or music), please consider signing up as a Hipty Member Contributor. Member Contributors form a pool of members who write for the site’s Film and Music page. If you are a student in journalism school, have a serious interest in writing news stories, or simply are passionate about your music and/or movies, as a Hipty Member Contributor you will submit news to the Hipty.com editor for publishing on our website. Entertainment gossip junkies are welcome!
All Member Contributors work on a voluntary basis, without compensation but not without attribution. To sign up as a Member Contributor, please write to us using the “Contact Us” link at the bottom of the Hipty front page. You may paste your resume or a short message about why you feel you are a strong candidate to write for our site. We consider all “virtual applications” evenly.
If you are not interested in becoming a Member Contributor but from time to time are interested in submitting your own freelance stories, they may be emailed to submit@hipty.com, and be sure to use “FREELANCE STORY: [your article title]” as the subject line. Always, always include your (1)first and last name, (2)your Hipty ID, (3)your e-mail address, (4)contact phone number and (5)homepage URL so that we may contact you if your article is chosen for publishing. Any articles submitted without this information will not be considered. We cannot publish your story without your permission and ID authentication. Moreover, please keep in mind that should you ever submit a competing story, priority will go to enlisted Hipty Member Contributor status holders.
