1. (Member) Homesite -- all the pages that make up your personal pages on Hipty.com, i.e., your Homepage, About Me page, Blog pages and Photo Album.
2. (Member) Homepage -- your page that features your image front and center, your member statement and lists your friends network.
3. Hipty HomePage -- the page that loads when you enter www.hipty.com into your browser URL.
4. Member Pages -- all the pages that belong to the members of Hipty.com.
5. Public Pages -- all the pages that comprise the non-member pages of Hipty.com.
6. Homesite Administration page/Admin page -- the page from which members administrate their Homesite pages, accessed by either logging in or clicking on your own nametag from anywhere within your Homesite.
7 NameTag -- your identifying "button," that either consists of your image, Hipty ID and motto, or on the member pages is your Hipty ID and motto next to the top navigation.
8. Hipty ID -- sometimes referred to as your "handle," this is the name by which you would like to be identified on our website.
9. Top Navigation -- the horizontal series of links found right under the top banner advertisement
10. Botom Navigation -- the horizontal series of links found at the bottom of all our Hipty public and member pages.

Q. How do I administrate my Homesite pages?
A. Most everything is done from your admin page, although writing blogs or managing your photo album is done anytime you're logged in. We've designed it to be as simple and as intuitive as possible, but if you still have problems, you can always contact the Hipty Admin Web Team or ask a friend on the network.
Q. How do I access my Homesite Administration page?
A. When you're logged in, in the top nav you'll see the "Admin" link. Click that to access your admin pages.
Q. Can I change the order of my friends in my network?
A. Yes, but only your top ten friends. Drag and drop friends into your top ten, then you may rearrange them in any order (by dragging and dropping).
Q. I'm in my friend's Homesite but I don't see any link to her homepage. How do I get back there?
A. From any Hipty Member page, clicking on the name will take you to that member's home page.
Q. I want to write a blog but I don't know how.
A. When you're logged in, simply click on "Write Blog" in the top nav.
Q. How do I add photos or create new photo albums?
A. When you're logged in, click "Manage Photo Album." We've tried to make it as intuitive as possible, but if you have trouble, don't hesitate to contact us or even try asking another person on the network.
Q. What are Quick Notes and how do I use them?
A. They are our equivalent of sending sticky notes or text messages to each other. Designed as quick (hence the name) little messages to send and receive, just go to the page of the person to whom you'd like to send a Quick Note and in the top navigation click on "Quick Note".
Q. How do I check my Quick Notes?
A. When you're logged in, the system will alert you to how many unread Quick Notes you have with a small number in parenthesis next to your Quick Notes link in the top navigation. You can either click on the Quick Notes link from anywhere within your own Homesite, or check your Quick Notes from your Homesite admin page.
Q. How can I send an email to another Hipty member?
A. Just go to that person's Homesite and click on "Email Me" in the top navigation.
Q. Are the emails really totally anonymous?
A. No, they are not anonymous because the recipient will be given a link to the sender’s Homesite, but no addresses are revealed to anyone. Emails are sent to the recipient member's registered email address, but he or she will not see the sender’s address. However, within the body of the email will be the sender’s nametag, which is a link to the sender’s homepage, so the recipient will always know who you are and will be able to email you back if he or she so desires.
Q. Can I chat with more than one person at a time?
A. The chat feature is coming.
Q. What does it mean to "Subscribe To This Member"?
A. When you subscribe to another member, you will be notified via e-mail whenever a new blog or photo has been added to the member's home site.
Q. I’ve accidentally deleted a comment and public message that I want back. How do I get it back?
A. Once a comment or public message is deleted, it cannot be retrieved.

Q. How can I change the order of the nametags in my Friend Network?
A. From your admin page, click on “Friends”. Click on “Go To Selection Page,” and from there you can choose your Top 10 friends by dragging and dropping their nametags. Within your Top 10 you may drag and drop to reorder your list. At this time you cannot control the order of your non-Top 10 friends. Always grab your friends by the upper right-hand corner.

Q. How do I customize my home site?
A. Members may upload wallpaper to their websites, which will apply to each page of their site. This can be done from your admin section, under "Homepage."
Keep in mind that depending on the colors of your wallpaper image, black text may look better than white text (for top and bottom navigation links, photo descriptions, etc.) or vice versa. Even if you upload wallpaper, you must choose a background color on the left (you'll know what we mean when you get there).
Choosing the "Default" color will give you black text (better for lighter colored images), and choosing the "Black" color will give you white text (better for darker colored images).
If you don't understand, upload your wallpaper image, then click each color to see what we mean.

Q. How do I change my Hipty ID?
A. From your admin page, click on “Choose ID Image”. On this page you may change your site ID image and nametag motto. If your desired ID is not already taken, you may use it.
Q. How do I change my password?
A. From your admin page, click on “Account Settings”. Click on “Change Password” and follow the directions.

Q. On the About Me page, what do you mean by "Details"?
A. It's whatever you would like it to be. Q. How do I change the order of my friends in my network?

Q. Is it possible to change the date or time of my blog?
A. No.
Q. I know there's a podcast (or mp3) for this blog, but it's not playing when I click play.
A. Our player is designed not to stream, but play only after the entire podcast has been downloaded. You have to wait for the entire podcast to be brought down, and this may take some time depending on how fast your internet connection is.

Q. How can I report a problem or underage member or user?
A. You can contact us via the "Contact Us" link on the Hipty homepage or email us. We will not reveal your identity in our investigation of the suspected member.
Q. How can I report a bug that I've found?
A. Please use the “Contact Us” link on the Hipty homepage or email us, with “BUG: [bug issue here]” as the subject line.
